Suggest Treatment For Lump And Pain On The Neck

It s been over a month that I have noticed slight discomfort and mild intermittent pain scale of about 2/10 in my left neck. This evening I felt a small lump in my left neck . Should I have it checked for thyroid problems? I m 60 ,female and in good shape.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to get ultrasound neck for the lump in neck. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is suggested which is an office procedure to sample cells with the help of a needle. The cells sampled are stained and examined under microscope to assess the nature and character of the lesion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
