Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query .The symptom you describe in query is indicating mucocele .It occur due to enlargement of salivary gland duct .There can be many reason for this to occur like hard sucking action ,when your face is hit hard with something or any irritation .

Duct of gland get blocked and saliva get accumulated and form mucocele. Usually it go away without any treatment .

If it persist or causing problem in normal functioning of oral cavity then you should consult dentist/oral surgeon for proper examination and to rule out other condition like 'torus palatinus' ,doctor may remove the gland surgically or perform marsupialization which is helping a formation of new duct for drainage of saliva .

Do not touch lump with your tongue or pick it.You can apply honey on lump at night.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
