Suggest Treatment For Lump Near Ear And Left-sided Pain In Head

Left ear,ridge on outer ear,above hole of ear.there is a lump over the weeks has got larger even though I have been given three lots of antibiotics.pain in left side of head,tender touch on top of head.pain is in my neck and shoulder,worse when I lay down.pain is now relentless.,

Hi Dear,

Welcoem to HCM.

Undersatnding your concern. As per your query you have lump near ear and left sided pain in haed, Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like abscess , sebaceous cysts , lymphadenopathy , acne mononucleosis , infected lipoma and mastoiditis. Need not to worry, in you case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to either sebaceous cysts or lymphadenopathy . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically to check tenderness and consistency , may order biopsy or blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . For now apply warm compresses and take anti histamine like benadryl twicw a day .
