Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain a lump at the site of piercing can be due to inflammation of the soft tissues caused by the pricking needle which causes
injury to the soft tissues and leads to over growth of the soft tissue causing formation of a lump..
In case if the lump has occurred after two weeks of the pricking it can be due to trauma caused while wearing the earring or infection in the pricked site leading to formation of a small
abscess..
In case if it is a hard lump you have an inflammatory swelling and you should apply ice packs over it.
Steroid based
ointments can also help in regressing the lesion..
Do not remove the earring till the swelling resolves..
In case of infection and abscess formation antibiotic oral and topical can be relieving..
Hope your query is solved..
