Suggest Treatment For Lump Near Lesion On Finger After Injury

I sliced my knuckle open on a paint tin, it bled a lot and I had to lie down as I nearly passed out. This was 2 weeks ago and the cut has healed but there is lump where the cut was and now the area around the cut is green and purple bruised, I can t really feel the area either. I can bend my finger but only so far? Think I may need to go to the doctor?

When you stitch up a wound it often does bruise as it does cause trauma to the area and where yours is there will be tension in the area and pulling on the stitches so that is more likely to cause bruising even after the stitches have been in place a few days. Also, as healing occurs stitches tend to tighten and that in itself can cause bruising especially if the wound is in a place where the skin is pulled a lot.If the bruising is still there when you have the stitches taken out and you're worried about it then you better consult your doctor.
