Suggest Treatment For Lump Near The Vaginal Area

I have a lump between my vagina and anus, close to my anus with no pain. I have had some constipation and straining issues for the past two weeks. My concern is, my sister has had polyps that are the kind that can be cancerous and my dad has had fissures, polyps and diverticulitis. Should I be worried and get a colonoscopy?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The nature of the lump between the vagina and anus needs to be investigated. The radiological investigation will determine the exact site and extent of the lump.

Cytological and histopathological investigations will determine the exact nature of the lump. After getting radiological and cytological reports, further course of action can be decided.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
