Suggest Treatment For Lump On The Forehead Caused After A Injury

Hi there I m just concerned about a small lump on my forehead that is a little painful to the touch. I smacked my head on a hard glass bottle because I leaned over a counter I was sitting on and fell forward. I iced it for about 10 minutes but I had to go into work so I didn t ice it after that. It has been 4 days but I can still feel the bump although it s not visible. Should I see a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The lump after the injury is normal. It is related to local inflammation in the area. I recommend using cold compresses for local application. I also suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
