Suggest Treatment For Lump Under Eyelashes

My child has a hard lump under the bottom eyelashes but not near the rim of the botton eyelid. It is red in color and has been there since right before Thanksgiving. They have given him oral antibiotics and now an ointment but it is for the inside of the eye and they are having me put it on the lump. Nothing is happening. What should I do? Child is 5 yrs, 39.4 lbs., no major illnesses

I understood your health concerns about treatment of lump on Eyelids-
Treatment-
As the treatment given from your doctor is not reducing the eye lump,it is natural to be worried for your sons eye lump.
Your son seems to have Chalazion / or Meibobian Cyst-which is the cystic swelling of the eyelid blocked oil glands.
Hot Compresses,
Anti-inflammatory oral Syrup,
would take care of it as such lumps reduce on its own in 2-3 mths time with this treatment.
IF no reduction please consult Opthalmic / Eye Surgeon who would treat it accordingly after verifying local conditions of eyelid lump.
