Suggest Treatment For Lumps Appearing On The Abdomen

I recently woke up with what I assumed was a bug bite on my left side near the base of my rib cage. Thinking I might have a spider or something in my bedroom I promptly changed my sheets and checked for signs of insects- no bugs or anything were found. Over the last four days I have started getting more of these bumps on my abdomen even when I am not at home. There are now six of them splayed across my stomach. They are painful and itch horribly. They start out small looking like pimples with a small white center and then get a little bigger and start to itch. The original bump is starting to get these little purple dots next to it. I haven't felt ill like I am having an allergic reaction to anything nor have I recently made any changes in my life that would cause one. I have done my best not to scratch them (though sometimes I just cannot help it) and have treated them with antibiotic cream and anti itch cream- but nothing seems to be helping. They are driving me crazy! What should I do to treat this? Should I take myself to the doctor and get them checkced out?
