Suggest Treatment For Lumps On Knees

Hello-

I have a lump the size of a ping pong ball on the medial side of the top of my calf just under the knee. It has been there for a while and I thought it was a muscle cramp from training. But I have been on vacation for three weeks and it has not reduced in size. It is not painful unless I press directly on it. What can it be and should I see a doctor for it?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
The size of a ping-pong ball is a big swelling and can be due to lipoma or a sebaceous cyst. You must visit a Surgeon to confirm What it is and to see if it is not related to your joint / synovial membrane.

It is always better to get operated for two reasons- one - to get rid of the swelling and Second: get a tissue diagnosis so that the fear of a serious problem goes away.
