Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM virtual Clinic.
I studied your query in all the details put forth by you.
I understood your health concerns.
Cause of the health problems you queried-
The lump on the throat with Mucous discharge seems to be with Acid reflux you have.Your query indicates this by the reflux mucous out pouring from the acid refulx, which needs to be treated.
GOR-gastro-esophageal reflux, with reflex Hypertonicity of the UOS(Upper Oesophageal Sphincter) is proved cause of the globus feeling in the throat, which hampers swallowing of the reflex mucous outporing leading to excessive mucous discharge with it.
There are many other causes as-retroverted epiglotis, or /hypo-pharyngeal cancer/or
Remedy-
-PPI (Proton-D)-for the GERD associated is commonly tried to rule out the GERD.
Rigid Esophagoscopic examination would relieve by dialating the sphincteric spasm.
Reassurance- if associated with anxiety would relieve globus.
Fiberoptic laryngoscopy or
TNO-Trans-nasal esophagoscopy would rule out any growth besides other causes and would help in planning treatment of Globus clearly.

Other factors related to stress/anxiety / and anatomical abnormalitis and pharyngel dismotilitis need to be ruled out.
I would advise you to consult ER ENT Surgeon ,who would differentiate from other possible causes for the lump in that area.
As I don't have any direct photo of the lump / or not many details from you, I would advise you to consult surgeon.

Hope this would resolve your query with full satisfaction.
