Suggest Treatment For Lung Lobe Expansion In A Heart Patient

My father is heart patient , he had bypass surgery 1998 years back and he also had pacemaker surgery in 2000. And he is taking tablets regularly. And last year he had pacemaker replacement also. Last week he went for yearly general master checkup. And cardiology doctor said looks like there is liver expansion. And he asked us to take ultrasound scan. The result shows there is lobe expansion. We are yet to consult the doctor. Please suggest us what we need to do..? Lobe expansion is a serious problem ..can it be cured through medicine..?

Hi,

A lobe expansion of the liver may have many different causes. Many of them are not serious, some are. Your father will therefore need either an MRI or a contrast enhanced Doppler sonography as well as a comprehensive lab test of his blood.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
