Suggest Treatment For Macular Degeneration In The Left Eye

I m 80 years old and in very good health except for macular degeneration in the left eye which I m receiving eye injections every 3 months. I do have some arthritis issues which seem appropriate for my age. Lately i have had the feeling of loose hair or cobweb on the left side of my face and neck. It is just a slight whisper of a feeling and it seems to pass very quickly. I may just have one incident or several in a short period.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The abnormal sensations may be due to neuropathy which refers to the abnormal function of the nerves.

There are different possible causes such as low levels of vitamin B12 and folate, diabetes, kidney and liver disease, a side-effect of medication, thyroid disease, exposure to toxins, trauma to the nerves e.g. arthritis in the spine or another area.

If it continues or worsens, you should see your doctor for assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
