Hello, I had marginal Hyperthyroidism (not hypo) and was prescribed to take thyronorm (25mc) for a month T3, T4, TSH are normal since last 8 years however, all symptoms like body ache, weight loss, hair loss, stiffness etc.. still remained same and no medication all along.1. want to know if thyronorm serve both hypo and hyper?2. Anything I can do to recover from above aliment?
First of all, once the medicine being stated for thyroid dysfunction, then symptoms comes under control and slowly go away, as long as the medicine is concern for both the hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are different in your case Thyronorm is indicated for hypothyroidism.
Your stated symptoms may not be due to hypothyroidism but it seems to be due to some other disease or illness, sometime it may be nonspecific, you can have paracetamol tablet three times in day.
Meanwhile, routine work up of Blood and urine are advisable, possibility of some infection needs to be rules out.
