Suggest Treatment For Middle Back Pain

I have had pain on my mid back that travels around to my ribs and to my right stomach for 6 weeks. I have had a MRI of my abdomen and 2 blood tests and everything has come back negative. I then had an MRI of my spine and the doc stated I have three bad disks but there were not bad enough for surgery. So he has given me an anti inflammatory and has scheduled me for PT. I have been on the anti inflammatory for a week and the pain has not gotten better. I will start PT in two days. I am wondering if there could be something else wrong with me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Considering that you have had these MRI scans, it sounds very plausible that disc herniations are your problem. PT is the treatment of choice.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
