Suggest Treatment For Migraine While Suffering From Sinus Infection
I am a long time migraine patient. I have one now that seems different. I have had it for a few weeks. I also have nausea, weight loss, sinus pressure, and overall lethargy. I am already on an antibiotic for a sinus infection. Should I been seen, or wait till the antibiotic is over? I am on day 5. I also had a sphenoid ganglion block a week ago, but have not gotten relief. Also, do I go to an ENT, or neurologist? My doctor just retired, so I am between practices.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think it is necessary for you to get evaluated further mainly for the degree of the sinusitis since there is no improvement after 5 days on antibiotics. A CT scan of the head and ENT evaluation is necessary for this purpose. Also, see a Neurologist since you refer about lethargy, nausea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
