Suggest Treatment For Migraine

I seem to be constantly dealing with some level of migraine most days. I know that some are triggered by hormones, weather, certain foods/additives, chemicals in the environment such as perfumes/fragrances, etc. i.e., not stress or tension in my lower neck/upper back. They are primarily in the front/top/sides of my forehead and usually more on one side but then radiate into my cheekbones, jaw and toward the top and back of my head. I am very sensitive to EMF s and am now wondering if they just might be the main cause and what to do about it other than live off the grid. I just saw on this site that someone was recommended a mineral called Tektite? I do take magnesium 200 mg in my morning multivitamin and another 400 mg at bedtime to help me sleep. I can t take more because I have Ulcerative Colitis and more will cause diarrhea. I also have Fibromyalgia-Chronic Fatigue and suspected Lupus. In spite of having dealt with these conditions my entire life, yes, in childhood as well, and I am 62 now on BHRT, which is the only thing that seems to have helped, I am happy and practice meditation etc. to deal with lack of sleep, pain, fatigue and depression. Would you recommend Tektite? If so, what dosage? I am currently taking Sumatriptan 50mg tab for my migraines only when I absolutely need to as all meds seems to have undesirable side effects. However, I am not taking any other medications at this time. Thank you for your consideration:)

Hello,

As doctors, we can recommend drugs or other remedies only when their benefit and safety has been assessed through clinical studies. So I am afraid that Tektite can't be recommended, there aren't any studies regarding its effects, so apart from anecdotal accounts, there is no scientific proof on its side.

I would suggest considering other preventive medication. You say to have tried some medications and have had side effects, but there are many different classes of migraine prevention headache medication, there are many alternatives like antidepressants, anticonvulsants, antihypertensives, botox injections etc which can be tried (depending on what has failed in the past).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
