Suggest Treatment For Migraine

Went to ER last night due to migraine headache…..worst one ever, pain on the left side of head behind left eye area hurt really bad. What type of pain killer can stop this? I tried ibuprofen, aspirin, caffeine, alcohol, eating, exercising, even smoking, and also inhalers….nothing worked Sam

I read your question and I understand your concern and fear of other attacks.

I am not sure what do you mean by inhalers.
Generally the most effective class of drugs when the usual painkillers you mention fail, are the triptans, like zolmitriptan, sumatriptan etc. Careful if you have ischemic heart issues, it is contraindicated in those occasions.
Other alternatives are opioid analgesics or ergotamine.
These options can be combined with a dopamine antagonist like prochlorperazine.
