Suggest Treatment For Migraine

Hi i have had a headache now on and off for the last 16 days ...i went to my gp over a week ago and she diagnosed it as being a migraine and prescribed Imigran 50...these along with ibubrofen dont seem to be working they are easing it sometimes but not all the time. Today i feel quite ill...i feel sore even my mouth feels sore when drinking hot liquid and my skin feel quite sensitive.

Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having

It does seem that you have a headache. I am here to help you with some basic therapy which will help you along with the medication. Follow this as far as possible. Here are a few things you can try:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache
Drink lots of water
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times

A migraine also occurs due to a trigger factor in some cases. You can manage this by identifying the triggers and then avoid them.

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
