Suggest Treatment For Migraine

I was in the er today for another migraine. they have been so frequent i have been in ever few days. I noticed 3 lumps on the back of my neck at the base of my skull and they are very painfull. the er doc said they are lipomas and there is nothing they will do.. they hurt a lot and the pain meds they gave me do nothing. Now the migraine is starting again. Should i get a second opinion

Hello dear,
I understand your concern.Migraine and Lipomas don't have even far off relation.Lipomas are benign and nothing is to be done for them,just leave them like that.If you are having a definite diagnosis of 'Migraine',there are several classes of drugs for the same like Beta-blockers,Tricyclic antidepressants,Triptans,anticonvulsants and non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDS).Please visit your physician so that he can put you on the medication that best suits you.I hope it helps.
