Suggest Treatment For Migrane Headaches

I used to take Midrin for migrane headaches but am told it is no longer made? The replacement my doctor wrote for me is ISOMETH/ACETAMINOPHEN/DICHLOR which is $179 for 30 tablets. I can t afford that. Is there another substitute? My insusrance will not cover the ISOMETH/ACETAMINOPHEN/DICHLOR and I seem to remember that Midrin was not expensive. Thank you, Samiel Smith

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, for migraine pain, you can take tab. vasograin after physician consultation.

In case of repeated attacks i.e. more than 3 in a week you may require tab. propranolol.

Avoid bright light, high noise and foods that trigger an attack.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
