Suggest Treatment For Mild Burning Sensation And Discomfort Below The Neck

Hello, I am having a kind of discomfort below my neck near to upper chest with a mild burning sensation, gas trouble and back pain exactly behind. Is it something related to recent hiv infection. I had a cbc test and my lymphocytes count was about 3930 . Do you think it s normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to nerve compression at cervical spine level.

For further assessment you may require MRI neck and nerve conduction studies after consultation.

Till then you can take tablet acetaminophen. Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads will also help.

You may require tablet Pregabalin after consultation. Continue tablet multivitamin.

Take balanced diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
