Suggest Treatment For Mild Hearing Loss In Both Ears

I have mild (30Db) hearing loss in both ears. I have had it for a while, but recently got hearing aids. This last 2 weeks however, I have had a handful of short episodes of vertigo. Also, when streaming music to my hearing aids, the preset volume which was fine a month ago, is now a bit on the low side. The vertigo episodes also are followed by mild headaches which last for several hours.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As the symptoms suggest hearing loss in both ears, central cause must be sorted out for sensory involvement of cranial nerve 8 most likely.

In my clinic, I do recommend a detailed clinical examination of hearing with Weber and Rennie test with Audiometry evaluation of the hearing pattern to find out the underlying mechanics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
