Suggest Treatment For Mitral Regurgitation, Mitral Stenosis And Moderate AR
Hello...My mother in law had breathlessness last night and she lives in Parbhani...she had the tests...In her echocardiogram..the impression is CHRD, Mild mitral reguegitation, mitral stenosis and moderate AR. her haemoglobin is 9 and TSH is 7...what will be the treatment for her?
I have gone through case history of your mother in law.she has got Mild mitral regurgitation and mild mitral stenosis and moderate Aortic regurgitation.any valvular which is severe in intensity needs surgery in the form of replacement or repair depending type of lesion.in her case mitral lesion is mild and aortic is moderate.so as on today she does not need suygery.apart from this she has anemia and hypothyroidism.I suggest to correct anemia with haemetinics and start oral thyroxine 25mcg once a day every morning. It is possible that her symptoms will be relieved by this. For her valvular problem she should be evaluated every yearly if she has no symptoms and 6 monthly if she has symptoms of breathelessness or chest pain.she may need aortic valve replacement in future.
