I have been to the Dr tried all antibiotics and nasal sprays allergy tablets etc,I have had a ct cpscan on my sinuses no pathology was found so Dr told me to put up with it! Any ideas of how to deal with my problem?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of mucus in the nose and gurgling in throat and the secretions are colored indicating a chronic infection. CT scan being normal does not mean there is no infection. I would advise you the following: - Send the nasal discharge for gram staining, culture and sensitivity and fungal infection and get the blood tests done. - It is possible that you have been suffering from the diabetes for so, hence it is necessary to have have a clinical evaluation and examination by a Physician also to rule out any disease which must be reducing your immunity allowing you to suffer from chronic infection for so long. The reports can correct the original problems and you can get an appropriate treatment and get alright.
