Suggest Treatment For Muffled Hearing

Hello, I ve been suffering from muffled hearing for the last couple of days. For the last few weeks I ve been suffering from some quite bad stress due to exams and I ve also been fighting a cold for the same time - about a month. Over the last few days I ve suffered from muffled hearing in my right ear, moreso when I lower my head. I m just wondering what I should do about this and if there s anything seriously wrong.

Hi,

It seems you have developed sinus infection following
cold. The muffled hearing you have is because of inflamed or blocked eustachian tube (connecting ear to the back of the throat) as an effect of sinus infection and cold. You can inhale water vapor, do gargles with warm saline water and take a cold pill like Sinarest, over the counter, after food. If you have fever, consult your family doctor or ENT specialist for advise of suitable antibiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
