Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I couple of weeks ago i had a lump under my left nipple (male) which was painful and lump under my left arm pit, I went to the docs who gave me antibiotics (flucloxacillin), after a couple of days the lump under my nipple went but still had a small painful lump under my arm pit, Since then ive developed more lumps under my right armpit, Started with one and within 24hrs ive now got 4 and unable to lift my arm above head height without serve pain?
Thanks for your query . The lumps under armpits can occur due to many reasons like swelling lymph nodes , formation of cyst due to infection , bacterial or viral infection and due to some underlying disease (herpes ).
I would suggest you to consult your doctor again for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , chest X-ray or biopsy (to chech for cancerous lesion).
He/she may prescribe stronger antibiotics for more duration , may consider surgical excision or radiation therapy.
For now give warm compresses several times a day and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen to reduce pain and inflammation.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
