Suggest Treatment For Multiple Myeloma With Cirrhosis

My father was diagnosed with Multi Myeloma 24 months ago. Rounds of Chemo drugs ect, he also has cirrhosis of the liver, his live began to fail 3 days ago, high Amonia levels, he became anemic, they admistered two units of blood, he is boarderline Diabetic, How can the Multiple Myeloma be treated when he has cirrohsis. I thought we were going to loose him a few days ago. He was up walking around the hospital today, eating his meals and drinking fluids.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Treatment depends on stage of disease.

Melphalan and prednisone is useful in nearly half of the patients. Combination of thaladomide plus dexamethasone is also useful.

Other drugs like bortezomib, zolendroate, rituximab are useful in multiple myeloma.

If no respond to chemotherapy then bine marrow transplantation is useful.

Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
