Hi, I have strained a chest muscle about 6 months ago and now when I turn my head to the right I have a pullimg of the chest/lifting. This happened 15 weeks after having a double bypass operation. When I exercise at gym it get sore after and is annoying at times... Can you advise here what is the best solution....have seen 2 GPs and 2 cardiologists however no one seems to have an answer..
Since you have soreness and tenderness, the possibility of pulled muscle-related pain is more likely. So better to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief. 1. Start calcium and vitamin D3 supplements because it can fasten healing. 2. Avoid movements causing pain. Avoid heavy weight lifting and strenuous exercise. 3. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like ibuprofen and thiocolchicoside. 4. Sit with proper back support. Avoid sudden jerky movements of the chest. 5. Apply warm water pad on affected areas. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
