Suggest Treatment For Muscle Pain On Left Hip

I have pain a muscle on my left hip. the result of twisting while playing handball before I was warmed up. It is at about 7 or 8 o clock on my body (if my belly button is pointing to 12 o clock). It hurts (badly) if I try to twist my trunk; or when sitting, if I lift the opposing foot off the ground. I d just like to identify the muscle(s) so I can look up care, treatment and exercise ... please :)

Hi

Your symptoms clearly suggests the presence of muscle strain.Muscle relaxants and painkillers should be used to reduce the discomfort . Avoiding lifting weight or any other strenuous work should be strictly avoided.

The oblique muscles(external and internal),Transverse and Rectus abdominis and Latissmus dorsi are some of the muscles involved in bending or twisting the trunk.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
