Suggest Treatment For Muscle Spasms

Hi I had a fusion done at L2,3,4 and the surgeon put rods in my back. This was three months ago. One month ago I had a cat scan done and it shows a screw is loose at T 12. The musal spasms in my back are unbearable. The surgeon seems unconcerned. What do I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

To help with muscle spasms you may use Baclofen.
Also, local warm compresses and gentle massage may be helpful. You may also talk to a physiotherapist which may help with exercises that will cause the muscles to relax.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj
