Suggest Treatment For Muscle Spasms

I have been treated with physical therapy and stimulation, ultra sound and exercise. The pain is intermittant and requires a pain pill! I don't like pills, but the pain is so severe I have to alleviate it with the pill and lots of ice. Lately, the muscles are actually telegraphing these jumping feelings and the muscles actually freeze. What else can I do?
