Suggest Treatment For Nasal And Sinus Congestion

I have had a cold for the past week, runny nose, nasal congestion, sinus congestion, mucus that was green, then brown, but is now lightening back up. Also have had some congestion in lungs with some productive coughing. My concern is that even though I seem to be getting better, my energy level is low and I have a low grade fever of about 100 degrees. What should my next steps be?

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have sinus and nasal congestion along with running nose , cold and temperature . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards severe infection . It seems to me that there is probably a viral infection . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialists without any delay , otherwise infection can spread to surroundings . Doctor may order CT scan , blood test , viral culture test or nasal endoscopy to rule out condition like nasal polyp . Doctor may prescribe nasal or oral corticosteroids , antibiotics or anti viral drugs , decongestants or aspirin .
