Suggest Treatment For Nasal Blockage

Sir, I have been suffering with cough when i consulted the doctor, he told its bronchitis allergy and suggested me to take duolin and seroflo 200 thrice and twice respective and seromonto F once at night for 3 weeks. 2 weeks are already over but wheezing problem is still there. I consulted one more doctor he asked me to take foracort instead of seroflo. It seems as my nose is blocked and I clean it again and again. But its not running. No fever. But when I do work I feel bit breathing problem. What should I do? And which medicine should I take?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suffering from nasal blockage and cough. You have been on Duolin, Serofio, Foracort, etc., by your treating doctor. You are suggested to take steam inhalation at least one time daily, twice if required. It will relieve you of your problem. Stay in a comfortable room with room humidifiers. Take Mucolytics, Bromohexine syrup or tablets to get relief. Decongestants are helpful. You can put Otrivin nasal drops to clear nasal blockage.

You can take antihistamine at bed time. Stay away from addictions if any. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get X-ray PNS done to detect any nasal septum deviation that may be causing you symptoms. You will be treated accordingly. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
