Suggest Treatment For Nasal Congestion And Loss Of Voice
Hi,i had the flu about 3 weeks ago with a 102 fever and lots of cogenstion in my head and lost my voice. I am feeling better, however after a course of z pack which did nothing and 2 days of levaquin ( had to stop because of swollen tendons!) i still have nasal congestion in one nostril and my voice while much improved is not back to normal--- raspy and sounds like i am a smoker, which i am not. Went to my ENT and he said my vocal cords were red, but seemed unconcerned. My question is will my voice gradually come back to normal or should I get a second oponion? Thanks! Sandy
You are having allergic rhinopharyngitis along with acid reflux. Start Solspre Nasal Spray for 2 month. Take proper steam inhalation through nose and mouth. Start tablet Augmentin for 1 week. Take Esomeprazole for 3 weeks. Take warm saline alternate with betadine gargle. Drink more water. Take voice rest. Review after 2 week.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
