Suggest Treatment For Nasal Polyps

Hi! I had nasal polyps as a child blamed on alkergies. I have been free of them fir 45 years after 5 years of alkergy shots and a deviated nasal septum. A few weeks ago I started stuffing up at night and my nose wheezes or whistles. It runs constantly. Could those pilyps be back? I do not have a cold.

Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomfort

As per your history is concerned first yo need a complete physical examination by your local ENT doctor and he will clarify whether you have any present polyp present and deviated nasal septum present or not by doing physical check up. If present nowadays many surgical options available and it can be repaired without much trouble at all.

Your second point was that nose wheezes or whistles, here i want to clarify that do you have breathing sound while taking breathing or while expiration and both are pathological due to various causes, so you can first ruled out any underlying infection by taking any higher antibiotics like Cefixime for 7 days with oral steroids.

Hope that helps
