Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m taking Percocet following back surgery. I took the Percocet 1 hour before eating. Since I m eating a larger meal, I m feeling nausea after I eat. When I first started taking it, I didn t have much of an appetite, and ate smaller meals, and didn t feel the nausea. I m taking 1 or 2 tablets every 4 or 5 hours. What should I do? Thank you, Charles Ledford
Hello, Thanks for the query. Percocet tablets themselves can cause nausea and at times vomiting. But these side effects tend to reduce ove a period when one takes the tablets for a long time. My suggestion is if larger quantity of meal is leading to nauseated feeling, then it is better to reduce the size of intake per meal. Plus take smaller meals for more number of times in a day. That should help. thanks.
