Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Diarrhea And Vomiting

my husband has stage 4 bladder cancer and had his bladder removed 2 months ago. since he has had constant nausea, without vomiting, diarhea, but not everyday, and has lost 45 pounds. he has had an upper gi, colonoscopy, CT scan, and ultra sound of his abdomen with no diagnosis. nausea meds are mostly ineffective. he is miserable and we are at wits end. tomorrow we are doing a stool analysis for bacteria and parasites. he has already been tested for c-diff. negative. please help. any other ideas?

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern about your husband.

I would like to tell you that nausea , diarrhea and vomiting are common side effects of anti-neoplastic agents and you are already taking medication for that. You can increase the dose of antiemetics and antidiarrheal drugs consulting your physician personally and continue with further evalution for proper treatment.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Bansal
