Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain Radiating To Head And Sensitive Eyes

lastnight out of no where. i was watching tv laying in bed. without warning a pain shot from my neck all through my head. i grabbed my head and screamed in pain. on a scale 1-10 10 being severe. i would have to give it a 20. i have never experienced a pain so horrible in my life. my husband rubbed my neck for about 20 minutes with a cold rag. it began to stop and i lost eye sight for about 30 seconds. today i have had a difficult time eating and drinking. even coughing shoots a light pain from top of my neck from the hair line, to my temple all on my left side. i have had a light headache not severe all day and a tightness still in my neck, very uncomfortable. my eyes are still rather sensitive to light as well. and walking around makes me a little light headed.
is there anything i can do to ease this? or should i call and see a doctor about it?
my husband is military, so if i call to see a doc. it is very possible that i will be on a waiting list for a few weeks before i can get in to be seen.
