Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
After a motorcycle accident, I had damage to 5-6 and 6-7 in my neck, split my head open requiring 7 staples, 5 anchors in my left shoulder, and separated collar bone. I was on traction daily for several months--then Tramidol--then steriod shots--then Tramidol. I finally quit all treatment. Now after 7 years, I have considerable neck pain, and cannot turn my head very far. What kind of treatment can I get?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since you had cervical spine surgery in the past, you should first try physiotherapy for your symptoms. Physiotherapy in the form of ultrasound applications, diathermy, stretching exercises, ice pack application etc should be tried. If all fail then surgical release is the treatment of choice. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
