Suggest Treatment For Neck Strain Caused By An Accident
Hi. I was rear ended in a car accident in July of this year. I went to urgent care and they told me my neck was strained; xrays were good. My neck still hurts. It likes to lock and when it does there is intense pain and I cannot move because it hurts too much. After a couple of seconds it unlocks, I can move it but usually real slow so that it wont lock again. Usually this happens at night but for the last two weeks it has been happening everyday at all times of the day.

Hello dear. there might be some injury to the cervical vertebra. Kindly consult an orthopedician who ask you to get xray, ct scan, mri scan etc to see the extent of injury. You may be prescribed cervical color and pain killers for sometime and adequate rest.
There is some inflammation at the site which is causing your symptoms. With adequate rest and usage of cervical collar for few months, you should be fine.
