Suggest Treatment For Needle Prick Pain In Upper Arm

I have a pain that feels like a needle stick in my upper arm exactly where you would get an injection. Its a very sharp pain when I extend my arm. When I am in the resting position there is no pain. This has been going on for 3 days now. I can think of no injury which precipitated this painful condition. Also I have not had an injection for quite some time.
