Hi,

Neurofibroma is one of the manifestations of neurofibromatosis. It is a genetically inherited disease. The lesions of neurofibromas are benign and harmless. But, if you feel embarrassing, you may go for excision. But, there are chances of recurrence. There is no medical treatment to cure or prevent the neurofibromas.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
