Suggest Treatment For Neuropathy Of Feet Moving Up To Ankles And Legs
I have been diagnosed with (non-diabetic) neuropathy of both feet. It started about three years ago with what felt like tingling in my feet and has become progressively worse. It is now moving up into my ankles and both legs, with the tingling sensation. By bedtime both feet are red on the bottom and very painful. I have to sleep with my feet out from under the covers because just a sheet laying over them hurts. I change shoes as often as [possible during the day, trying to find shoes that are comfortable. I can t shop more than two hours, after about an hour I start limping they hurt so bad. The doctor continues to dismiss it as neuropthy but I am worried about it moving up into my ankles and legs.
Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, neuropathy progresses. It would be good to find the cause. Thyroid disease, heavy metal toxicity, alcohol, B vitamin deficiency, HIV and HIV medicines, chemotherapy, B12 or folate deficiencies are some of the more common causes. It can progress to include control of vital functions and when the blood pressure isn't controlled it causes fainting. Reflux disease is very common in it. Anything that damps down nerves often works for the pain. Anti-epileptics, lidocaine, and amitryptiline are often some of the effective medicines.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
