1. Lichen nitidus is an uncommon skin eruption of unknown etiology but without complications or concern.
2. In Ayurveda skin [twacha] is the mirror that reflects the quality of rakta [blood]. Thus rakta Shodhana [detoxification of blood] is the key element in management.
3. dietary items which are sour or salty [pickles/papad/tamarind/raw mango/ lemon] can adversely affect the skin and hence should be avoided.
4. Involvement of 'pitta' is inevitable in skin disorders with 'rakta dushti', thus virechana karma is the best shodhana treatment for pitta as well as rakta.
