Suggest Treatment For No Periods

Dear doctor No periods for 70 days. Pregnancy blood test and ultrasound test in hospital at 60th day confirms no pregnancy. Doctor prescribed a tablet duphaston 10 mg for 1 week. But still no periods.!!!!?? Worried too much. Could you please answer my query.... Many thanks in advance.

Hello,
In the current scenario, you should wait for at least a week after completion of hormonal therapy to see if you get a withdrawal bleeding. If you still cannot see a period, you should undergo further investigation to see if there is any other cause for absence of periods like hormonal imbalance, premature menopause etc. A course of oral pills may be tried if low estrogen levels are detected, to see the uterine response.
