Suggest Treatment For Non Healing Stitches Of Ankle Surgery

My husband broke his leg in July. He had broken both bones in the ankle and dislocated the ankle. In surgery the next day, he had a plate and screws. The brake has healed well. He still has four stitches that do not seem to want to heal. He is not a diabetic, but has had three other surgeries on that leg.
