Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Painful Thumb After Stitches

had stiches 2 weeks ago in my thumb and when the doc numbed it i told him it felt like he hit the nerve and said he was supposed to. now when i try to open a door knob or pick a pot up a certain way i get shooting pain then my thumb is numb and tingles. can you help me?
