Suggest Treatment For Numbness And Sharp Pain In The Chest

My mother has been having some sort of small stroke. Every time she seem to have a busy weekend of watching my sister play softball she always has these mini strokes. Her left side of the face and tongue goes numb and has sharp chest pains. Doctors seem to always say oh she s fine and just give her medicine. What could cause this? This has happened multiple times already and nobody has answers.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Numbness and sharp chest pain can be due to momentary loss of blood to certain parts of the brain.

I suggest you get an ECG, echocardiography, TMT, Holter and angiography if required.

The symptoms are suggestive of cardiovascular or neurological disorder.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
