Suggest Treatment For Numbness In The Face

I had two sebaceous cysts removed behind my right ear in March 2010. The surgery has left the lower half of my ear and some of the right side of my face numb. What would cause this numbness? Will I regain feeling again over time? Is the numbness able to be corrected with surgery?
